Online discussion “Gala without Guests – What Does the Start of EU Accession Talks Mean for Albania and North Macedonia?”

As the positive decision to start EU-accession talks coincided with the speedy outbreak of COVID-19, it did not catch the attention it deserved. Neither in the Western Balkans, nor in Brussels or the EU member states. We believe it to be important to discuss the next steps that lie ahead for both North Macedonia and Albania.

Therefore, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung would like to invite you to our online discussion “Gala without Guests – What Does the Start of EU Accession Talks Mean for Albania and North Macedonia?” with the following speakers:

Michael Roth, MP, Minister of State for Europe, Germany

Gent Cakaj, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Albania

Nikola Dimitrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, North Macedonia

Moderation: Eva Ellereit (FES Skopje) & Stine Klapper (FES Tirana)

You can follow the discussion via FB on June 23 at 5pm until 6pm (GMT+2).
